LA Galaxy select Daniel Keller and Andrew Wolverton in final rounds of 2015 SuperDraft

CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015) – The LA Galaxy selected University of Louisville defender Daniel Keller (62nd overall) and Penn State goalkeeper Andrew Wolverton (82nd overall) in Rounds 3 and 4 of the 2015 MLS SuperDraft Tuesday afternoon.


Keller, 22, captained a University of Louisville side that went 11-8-3 in 2014 during their first season in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), starting in all of the team’s 22 matches. During his four-year career as a Cardinal, Keller played in 74 games, scoring six goals and recording four assists.


Wolverton, 21, spent four years in goal at Penn State University, compiling a 38-23-8 record as a starter while recording 225 saves and 32 shutouts and a .53 goals against average. During his senior season, he earned honors on the 2014 All Big-Ten Second Team, recording 64 saves and nine shutouts in 19 matches.


Last week, the Galaxy selected forward Ignacio Maganto from Iona University with the 21st selection in the 2015 MLS SuperDraft.
