The LA Galaxy bolstered their attack on Thursday with the acquisition of midfielder Emmanuel Boateng.
The club announced the signing of the talented 21-year-old left midfielder on Thursday. The Accra, Ghana native heads to Los Angeles after two seasons with Swedish outfit Helsingborgs IF and a year at U.C. Santa Barbara.
A talented outside midfielder who scored four goals in 37 appearances during his time in Europe, Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena is eager to bring the fleet-footed Boateng into the fold.
"He's a young and exciting player who offers a lot of pace to our team. He's left footed and predominantly a left-sided attacking player who gives us something that we don't have," Arena told LAGalaxy.com. "With his speed, it's going to help us whether he's a full-time player or a part-time player, his speed is going to be a valuable part of our attack."
