CARSON, Calif. -- Giovani dos Santos is back to full training according to LA Galaxy head coach Bruce Arena.
The 26-year-old forward was an active participant in training on Monday, taking part in all drills during the portion that was open for media availability. Dos Santos has been sidelined with a left leg injury since the first half of the Galaxy's March 6 win over D.C. United.
"He’s moving along," Arena said about Dos Santos.
Arena was adamant though that Dos Santos will not be rushed back from injury until he is completely ready to play.
"Sure, [the injury is] something to be concerned about, that’s why we have to make sure that he comes back, and he’s fully healthy. If he’s not then, we won’t put him back on the field," Arena said. "There’s no reason to believe that Gio can’t be a good player game in and game out. That’s what we expect out of him."
