The LA Galaxy, Alcatel and Futbol Artist Network (FAN) announced today the launch of a new emoji app featuring an exclusive collection of officially licensed emojis and sticker packs for the LA Galaxy. The five-time MLS Cup Champion LA Galaxy have been tabbed as the first MLS Club to unveil the app. And yes, an MLS Cup emoji is included.
Through the FAN app soccer fans now have a fun way to expand and customize their personal keyboards with soccer-specific emojis from their favorite teams. Soccer supporters will have access to hundreds of newly developed soccer-themed emojis, such as official logos, current player emojis, team mascots, and soccer-specific gestures. As the LA Galaxy’s Official Smartphone and Tablet Partner, Alcatel, has supported the creation of emoji caricatures of several LA Galaxy players including Robbie Keane, Steven Gerrard, Giovani dos Santos and Gyasi Zardes will be available through the app.
Fans will be able to share the content as part of their social conversation either via text or their personal accounts for the popular social and messaging networks, including Twitter and Facebook. Since the Galaxy are currently the highest scoring team in MLS, use of the emoji with raining LA Galaxy soccer balls is appropriate.
Access to exclusive player emojis would be available at the Alcatel activations at the Galaxy and NYCFC games this weekend with more player emojis added throughout the year.
