CARSON, Calif. (Wednesday, May 18, 2016) – LA Galaxy II announced today the signing of 18-year-old forward Ethan Zubak from LA Galaxy Academy. Zubak, a native of Corona, Calif., joined the Academy in 2013 and appeared in eight matches for Los Dos before signing his first professional contract.
During the 2016 USL season, Zubak has made seven appearances for Galaxy II and scored his first goal for the club on April 2 against Real Monarchs SLC. He made his Los Dos debut during an August 2015 match against Arizona United.

With the LA Galaxy Academy’s Under-17/18 team, Zubak led his team with 13 goals in 21 appearances during the 2015-2016 season
On the international level, Zubak earned his first youth national team appearance in January when U.S. Under-19 Head Coach Brad Friedel named the forward to his 23-player roster for the Copa de Athletico tournament in the Canary Islands, Spain. Zubak was capped in each of the tournament's three games.
Zubak is the second-youngest player on the Los Dos roster behind 17-year-old goalkeeper Eric Lopez. Zubak and LA Galaxy II will be back in action on Sunday, May 22 on the road in Tukwila, Wash. to take on Seattle Sounders FC 2.
