LOS ANGELES, Calif. (Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016) – StubHub Center, in conjunction with PRIMETIME Sports, announced today that the first Mexico City derby to be played in California between Club América and Pumas UNAM is now sold-out. This marks the first time in history that two Mexican teams will reach full capacity in a single match at StubHub Center.
This game, under TOUR ÁGUILA, is part of Club América’s celebrations and will take place at StubHub Center on Saturday, Oct. 8 at 6 p.m. PT. Starting at 2 p.m. PT, Club América fans will be able to enjoy a Fiesta Futbolera outside the stadium that will feature trophies, official mascot, former players, live music, food, interactive sponsor activations, and the Mexico vs. New Zealand game on a jumbotron.
Among the special guests are:
- Héctor Miguel Zelada, former Club América goalkeeper
- Vinicio Bravo, former Club América midfielder
- Reinaldo Navia, former Club América forward
- Manuel “El Loco” Valdés, #1 Club América fan
- Melquiades Sánchez Orozco, the voice of Estadio Azteca for 50 years
Given that it is a sold-out event, it is recommended for fans to arrive early and avoid delays. No purses or backpacks will be allowed inside the stadium due to safety precautions.
