What a win!
The LA Galaxy Academy U-16s opened the Generation adidas Cup Finals in Frisco, Texas with a bang as they defeated Sporting Kansas City 5-1 on Friday afternoon.
In addition to Sporting Kansas City, the Galaxy are in Group B of the Championship division alongside Flamengo and Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Academy will next turn their attention to Brazil side Flamengo on April 9. Flamengo faced Eintracht Frankfurt in their opening match. The match ended in a draw but Frankfurt won in PKs, earning two points. The match will be live streamed starting at 4:15 p.m. PT. To watch, visit lagalaxy.com/academy on match day for the feed.
To close out group play, the U-16s are matched up against another international squad in Eintracht Frankfurt. That match will take place on April 11 at 12:30 p.m. PT.
