Kendrick Watson joined the club’s performance staff as Head Strength and Conditioning coach with LA Galaxy II in May 2021.
Before landing with the LA Galaxy, Kendrick was the Academy Strength and Conditioning Coach with the San Jose Earthquakes where he was responsible for all strength and conditioning aspects for the entire Earthquakes Academy, including strength training, on-field preparation, and Athlete Monitoring Systems.
Watson began his career in sports performance at the Competitive Athlete Training Zone (CATZ) in Pasadena, California. At CATZ, Watson last served as General Manager & Performance Director. Within that role he was responsible designing and delivering strength and conditioning programs for a wide range of athletes, from amateur to professional.
Watson holds a degree in Kinesiology from California State University, Los Angeles. He currently holds his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA as well as Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) and Corrective Exercise Specialist (CES) through NASM.
