The LA Galaxy Girls' Academy kicked off their 2017 season at StubHub Center on Saturday.
In their first competitive matches for the Academy, the girls showed their strength and skill from the very start with the U-14 and U-15 teams shutting out Pateadores in the first two matches of the day, while tallying three goals in each.
The success continued to roll into the later part of the evening when the U-16/17 team overcame the heat wave hitting Los Angeles and earned a 2-1 victory with goals coming from Daikiara Williams and Megan Mielke.
The final match of the evening was the closest of the day. The U-18/19 teams of the LA Galaxy and Pateadores settled the match in the final minutes with Corina Sagato leveling the match in the 86th minute.
