LA Galaxy II midfielder Adrian Vera has been named July’s Herbalife Nutrition Player of the Month, collecting 49% percent of the vote.
Adrian Vera becomes the first LA Galaxy II player win the Herbalife Nutrition Player of the Month Award in 2017, after he recorded three goals and one assist in three games, helping Los Dos piece together their longest unbeaten streak of the season. On July 9, he sparked a 4-3 comeback against Portland Timbers 2 with two goals in five minutes.
Vera beat out Giovani dos Santos (25%), Ariel Lassiter (22%), Ashley Cole (2%) and Romain Alessandrini (2%) for the Award.

The campaign for August’s Herbalife Nutrition Player of the Month resumes this Saturday, when LA Galaxy host New York City FC at StubHub Center (8 p.m. PT, ESPN2). Tickets to the match are available for purchase here.
LA Galaxy fans can vote for the Herbalife Player of the Month Award in each month of the 2017 season. When a fan votes for a player online at LAGalaxy.com/POTM, they can enter to win the Herbalife Nutrition Player of the Month Sweepstakes. Each month, the sweepstakes winner will receive four VIP match tickets to a 2017 LA Galaxy home game. The winner and their three guests will also win a meet and greet with the Herbalife Nutrition Player of the Month at the LA Galaxy’s training grounds at StubHub Center.
