CARSON, Calif. – The LA Galaxy are going to be looking for a replacement for defender Nathan Smith after the young defender was suspended by Major League Soccer’s Disciplinary Committee.
Smith will miss out on Saturday’s match with the Earthquakes after picking up a one-game suspension for his tackle on Benny Feilhaber during the Galaxy’s match with Sporting Kansas City last weekend. Absences are nothing new to Los Angeles, who have already seen players miss substantial time this season, leaving head coach Curt Onalfo confident that the team can fill the void.
"Bradley could potentially be an option. We have to just test that out tomorrow. We feel like we have a good option at that position. I don’t really want to play my cards at this point. We’re in a groove where no matter what the situation is guys know guys can step up. We can rely on 26 players. We know we go into the game a little depleted on paper, but not in spirit and mentality. We’re ready to go."
