Enrique Vega is an invaluable St. Mary employee of 24 years. He continues to be an outstanding example of humankindness every day. As a former driver in medical transportation, he demonstrated the value of being respectful, helpful, caring and compassionate to everyone he interacted with. He even went out of his way on many occasions to deliver meals to elderly patients.Â
Over the last year, Enrique transitioned to the facilities maintenance department, taking an opportunity to grow and help serve in an area where there was a large need. Enrique was instrumental in setting up the COVID drive-thru testing site and COVID vaccine clinic in Long Beach. He has a huge heart for his fellow coworkers and an excellent reputation as a very dedicated, sincere gentleman. Enrique should be commended for his work ethic and his ability to be resilient during all times - that’s why Enrique is our Hero of the Game.
