Four LA Galaxy Academy seniors signed with Division I universities to continue their playing and educational careers on Friday during Spring Senior Signing Day, joining four other seniors who previously signed at the Fall Senior Signing Day.
Alexander Cruz, Marcus Goree II, Skylar Kaplan, and Adam Dunbar all put pen to paper, committing to four universities in California.
Cruz, who has been with the LA Galaxy Academy for three years and was part of the 2024 MLS Next Cup Championship team, signed with Cal Baptist University and will compete in the Western Athletic Conference.
A five-year member of the Academy, Dunbar will attend the University of California, San Diego, where he plans to study real estate development. He was part of the 2023 and 2024 MLS Next Cup Championship teams and is the third member of his family to graduate from the Academy (Cameron Dunbar, class of 2020 and Nicholas Dunbar, class of 2023).
After two years with the Academy as a goalkeeper, Goree II has signed with Loyola Marymount University and aims to study business and marketing. He joins 2022 graduate Ky Mani Dade at LMU.
Graduating early to begin his college career, Skylar Kaplan is heading to the University of San Diego. Part of the junior class, Kaplan joined the Academy this season.
From the fall signing group, Adrian Alvarenga is going to the University of Portland, Gustavo Gonzalez and Max Parore are signed to University of California, Irvine, and Ricardo Moreno is heading to University of San Diego.
The 2025 LA Galaxy Academy graduating class also includes Gabriel Arnold and Jose Pepe Magana, who are playing with Ventura County FC (VCFC), as well as Ruben Ramos Jr. and Harbor Miller, who are part of the Galaxy first team and have played valuable minutes with the club this season.
