What inspired your jersey design?
I wanted the jersey to be a throwback to the inaugural season. Though there are certainly some people who might not place that jersey among the nicest LA Galaxy kits throughout the years for its somewhat flamboyant appearance, I have always looked at that jersey as one of the most iconic kits in MLS history. Unfortunately, since those jerseys are out of production, I felt a kit hearkening back to that year could be a memento for older and much younger Galaxy fans who never had a chance to put on that jersey or would like to don those colors once again.
Why should fans vote for your jersey?
I think fans should vote for my jersey because it will serve as a way to share and honor the history of this iconic club. The jersey will hopefully bring back memories for older fans of those great years at the Rose Bowl as well as inform younger and emerging Galaxy fans of the successes of this team and the great players of old such as Cobi Jones, Mauricio Cienfuegos, and Jorge Campos who helped the Galaxy achieve those successes.
What would it mean to you to have your jersey selected as the Galaxy’s official 3rd Kit?
I have always had a great love for the Galaxy and I look back very fondly at the times my uncle, my cousin, and I would head to Pasadena to catch a game. As an emerging fan of the beautiful game, the Galaxy along with the rest of MLS was my first real immersion into the world of soccer and as a young kid I did not grow up idolizing soccer greats such as the Ronaldos or the Zidanes but rather Galaxy players such as the aforementioned Cobi Jones, Mauricio Cienfuegos, and Jorge Campos. Having my design selected is, therefore, my chance to be etched into the history of the team I love so much and to whom I am eternally gratefully for truly enriching my childhood.
JEREMY MARCUS
What inspired your jersey design?
My design was inspired by the old gold jersey with the green stripe. I wanted the third kit to be a throwback to the past with a modern twist.
Why should fans vote for your jersey?
Fans should vote for my jersey because it highlights the gold that are the Galaxy. It's been awhile since we've had an all gold jersey and it's time for a comeback.
What would it mean to you to have your jersey selected as the Galaxy’s official 3rd Kit?
To me it's Galaxy til I die. If you cut me I bleed white, blue and gold. Being chosen would allow me to give back to an organization that means so much to me.
ANGEL HOUTS
What inspired your jersey design?
It was Los Angeles Lakers' playoffs when I decided to create this kit. So the colors were like theirs, but I wanted to keep the Galaxy's tradition with the slash. Purple also as some connections to the Los Angeles Kings. I really wanted to help the fanbase grow, hopefully the colors bait the Basketball supporters. Los Angeles: City of Champions is because we have the best sports teams around. The Los Angeles Kings won their first Stanley Cup, Lakers usually win, and the Dodgers are top notch as well. But we can't forget most importantly the MLS Cups the Galaxy have earned. As well as the Open Cups, Champions Cup, and the Supporter Shields.
Why should fans vote for your jersey?
If you love your city LA, you should vote for my kit. I've been a supporter since I was little, since 1996.
What would it mean to you to have your jersey selected as the Galaxy’s official 3rd Kit?
It would mean the world. My room is already Galaxy out! Being the designer of the 3rd kit would be a dream come true. Well part of the dream anyways, I always wanted to play for them.
LAURA CHAPMAN
What inspired your jersey design?
A true championship team! I went to school for fashion, so I have an eye for color. I kept the classic Galaxy colors in mind and chose a complimentary color, light blue for an edge and added touches of the classic white and gold to stay true to the Galaxy tradition. The gold is a great representation of the 2011-2012 MLS Champions!
Why should fans vote for your jersey?
This jersey not only looks awesome, but it represents champions, LA Galaxy is a championship team and this shines through with the gold details!
What would it mean to you to have your jersey selected as the Galaxy’s official 3rd Kit?
It would be AMAZING to have my jersey selected as the 3rd Kit!! I am originally from NJ, so naturally you would think I would be a Red Bulls fan, but I have always loved the LA Galaxy and am so happy to live in LA now and be able to support the team at home!! GO LA!
ANDY CANALES
What inspired your jersey design?
The old school Galaxy colors, the colors that I grew up watching when I was a little kid.
Why should fans vote for your jersey?
You should vote for me because I'm a true Galaxy fan. I've been a Galaxy fan since I was four years old when my dad took me to one of the first Galaxy games against D.C. United. I've been a Galaxy Season Ticket Holder for seven years and I will be for the rest of my life. And let's face it, my jersey's the best!
What would it mean to you to have your jersey selected as the Galaxy’s official 3rd Kit?
If my jersey is chosen, it'll be a dream come true! Growing up, I always dreamed of playing for the Galaxy; but since that didn't happen, I guess designing the jersey that they wear will have to do.
