CARSON, Calif. – Giovani dos Santos, Jonathan dos Santos, and Mexico will face a tough road to the knockout stages after learning their group stage opponents in Friday’s 2018 FIFA World Cup Draw.
The 32 participants of the world’s grandest soccer tournament learned their group stage fates for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in a ceremony in Moscow. All 32 nations were distributed across eight groups for next summer’s competition.
The Dos Santos brothers and Mexico find themselves in Group F alongside reigning World Cup champion Germany, Sweden, and Asian powerhouse South Korea. El Tri opens the tournament on June 17 against Germany in Moscow at 7 AM PT and then faces South Korea six days later in Rostov-on-Don at 10 AM PT. Mexico closes out their group stage participation on June 27 against Sweden in Ekaterinburg at 6 AM PT.
