CARSON, Calif. (Thursday, October 14, 2010) – Fans can now purchase tickets on the Grass Berm of The Home Depot Center for the LA Galaxy’s game against the Colorado Rapids on Saturday, October 16. The game, which is presented by Bank of America, will kick off at 7:30 p.m. with berm tickets costing just $24. The entire berm is a general admission seating area, so fans are encouraged to arrive early to claim the best spots.
In addition to the Grass Berm, a limited number of tickets remain in Corner ($50), Sideline ($75) and Club ($125) sections for the game against the Rapids, so fans are encouraged to buy their tickets now. Seating in the General Admission, Endline, Upper Corner and Upper Sideline sections are sold out.
Currently four points ahead of second place Real Salt Lake with two games remaining, the Galaxy can clinch their first Supporters’ Shield title since 2002 with a win over the Rapids on Saturday. LA are 17-6-5 through 28 games this season and could become the third team in MLS history to record 60 points in a season by taking four of the final six possible points. They have lost just once in their last six games and are 8-3-2 at home this season.
The two sides met once earlier this season, with former Galaxy forward Alan Gordon heading home a Landon Donovan freekick to give the Galaxy a 1-0 victory at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park on May 5.
