LOS ANGELES (Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021) – The five-time MLS Cup Champions LA Galaxy announced today the club’s 2022 MLS Regular Season schedule. In their 27th season in Major League Soccer, the home opener is set for Sunday, Feb. 27 at 2:00 p.m. PT at Dignity Health Sports Park against New York City FC live on ESPN. Squaring off against MLS’s newest expansion team, the LA Galaxy will travel to face Charlotte FC in its 2022 home opener at Bank of America Stadium on Saturday, March 5 at 4:30 p.m. PT live on FOX.
In 2022, the LA Galaxy will be featured on national television 16 total times across Major League Soccer broadcast partners ABC, ESPN, FOX, FS1, Univision and UniMás, including eight nationally televised games at Dignity Health Sports Park.
Both matches between the Galaxy and crosstown rival LAFC will feature national television broadcasts with the two teams squaring off at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday, April 9 (FOX) and at Banc of California Stadium on Friday, July 8 (ESPN).
The Galaxy will play each Western Conference team twice during the 2022 campaign in home and away matches. Additionally, LA will play host to four Eastern Conference teams (Atlanta United FC, CF Montréal, New York City FC and Orlando City SC) at Dignity Health Sports Park, while hitting the road four times against Eastern Conference opponents (Charlotte FC, Chicago Fire FC, New England Revolution and Toronto FC).
The club’s annual Fourth of July game will feature a contest against CF Montréal at Dignity Health Sports Park, continuing the Galaxy’s long-standing tradition of hosting a game on Independence Day.

The Audi 2022 MLS Cup Playoffs directly follow the regular season, with three consecutive weeks of action leading up to the 2022 MLS Cup on Saturday, Nov. 5, more than two weeks prior to the start of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar on Nov. 21.
The 2022 MLS regular season broadcast schedule features the largest network coverage in league history. A record 48 matches will air on network television across ABC, FOX, Univision and UniMás. MLS action will air on ABC nine times in 2022 with a total of 34 matches aired across ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2, all of which will also be available in Spanish on ESPN Deportes. FOX Sports will showcase 34 matches in the upcoming year, highlighted by 27 on FS1 and seven on FOX, with twice as many primetime windows as the network’s 2021 slate of games. Additionally, all 34 matches will air in Spanish on FOX Deportes. Thirty-two matches will be broadcast in Spanish across Univision and UniMás.
In addition, ESPN+ will stream all regional broadcasts nationally, out-of-market, in the U.S. and any nationally televised matches not aired by an English-language network will again be streamed live in English on Twitter.
