LOS ANGELES (Thursday, March 30, 2023) – The LA Galaxy today announced programming for Central American Heritage Night, in a match presented by Prevnar-20, when the club plays host to Seattle Sounders FC at Dignity Health Sports Park on Saturday, April 1 (4:30 p.m. PT; MLS Season Pass on Apple TV; FOX and FOX Deportes; LA Galaxy Radio, LA Galaxy Spanish Radio).
Central American Heritage Night
To celebrate Central American Heritage Night, the Galaxy have partnered with AFJA on a special ticket offerthat includes a car decal and a donation to AFJA.
Giveaway
The first 20,000 fans in the stadium will receive LA Galaxy x Know Pneumonia rally towels.
SoccerFest
For the first time this season, fans can face off against the LA Galaxy eMLS squad. Fans who score a goal against UL1BARRI, Voncita or VillaMore will receive a voucher for 20% off at the LA Galaxy Team Store. LA Galaxy alumni Martín Machón, a native of Guatemala, will be in SoccerFest signing autographs from 3:00-4:00 p.m. PT in celebration of Central American Heritage Night. SoccerFest will feature music played by Los Malditos, a band that performs Cumbia. The Pupusa Truck returns with Pupusas with a Purpose, with a portion of the proceeds going back to AFJA. CARECEN will have a booth in SoccerFest for fans to interact with and learn more about. CARECEN, the largest Central American immigrant rights organization in the country, empowers Central Americans and all immigrants by defending human and civil rights, working for social and economic justice and promoting cultural diversity.
Game Presentation
The National Anthem will be performed by the Izote Ensemble. The Izote Ensemble is a musical group founded by Salvadoran violinists Pablo Mendez and Pablo Mendez Granadino. Their mission is to promote Salvadoran culture and identity by performing original and nationally acclaimed musical compositions, while at the same time advocating for the nonprofit Armonia Cuscatleca. Armonia Cuscatleca provides free music education to underserved children in communities of El Salvador and uses music as a tool for social change, promoting leadership skills, creativity and community. Additionally, the consulates from five Central American countries will be at the game and the club will take a moment to honor them.
LA Galaxy Foundation
Fans can purchase a limited-edition LA Galaxy vs. Seattle Sounders FC matchday poster for $5.00, with all proceeds benefitting the LA Galaxy Foundation. Poster purchases can be made at the booth in SoccerFest. The LA Galaxy Foundation will also host their online auction on match day. Fans can text GALAXY to 76278 to bid. The auction will open at 12:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, April 1 and will close at the 75th minute of the match.
Merchandise
The Wild Collective and Mitchell & Ness jacket lines have dropped and are available for purchase only at the LA Galaxy Team Store. The Wild Collective line features a cardigan sweater, corduroy jacket and a coach’s jacket. The Mitchell & Ness line features four variations of satin jackets – white, gold and two navy styles. The LA Kit Hook Collection is still in-store, with new styles in Gold and Red. This collection features headwear, scarves, hoodies, t-shirts and a crewneck. The LA Galaxy Team Store will kick off a Register Round Up Program for the month of April, with proceeds benefitting AFJA. Fans can choose to “round up” to the nearest dollar when purchasing their gear to support this initiative.
Extra Time
All fans are welcome to stop by Extra Time, the LA Galaxy’s post-match party, with house producer and DJ Jesusdapnk providing music in the American Express Stadium Club following the game.

Saturday’s match marks the 46th meeting across all competitions between the LA Galaxy and Seattle Sounders FC, with the Galaxy trailing the all-time series 15-17-13. Against Seattle, the Galaxy hold a 10-12-13 record in league play, a 4-3-0 record in the MLS Cup Playoffs and a 1-2-0 record in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. In 18 all-time regular-season matches played between the two teams at Dignity Heath Sports Park, the LA Galaxy hold a 6-7-5 record at home against Seattle. In the last meeting at Dignity Health Sports Park between the two teams, LA and Seattle played to a 3-3 draw on Aug. 19, 2022, with Dejan Joveljić scoring a stoppage-time equalizing goal to secure the Galaxy a point at home.
