LOS ANGELES (Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018) – To honor Zlatan Ibrahimović’s 500th career goal for club and country, the LA Galaxy will distribute the commemorative #Zlatan500 poster to the first 10,000 fans inside the gates for the LA Galaxy’s match against Vancouver Whitecaps FC at 7 p.m. PT on Saturday, Sept. 29. The poster is designed by John Costacos of the Costacos Brothers, the iconic sports poster design team whose larger-than-life posters of star athletes like Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Ken Griffey Jr., and others rose to fame in the 1980s and 1990s. The Costacos Brothers' new book "Walls of Fame: The Unforgettable Costacos Brothers" comes out on Oct. 16.

LA Galaxy Forward Zlatan Ibrahimović became the third active player to reach 500 career goals across his senior career between club and country in the Galaxy’s Sept. 15 match against Toronto FC. With the goal, he joined Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo and FC Barcelona’s Lionel Messi as the only active players in global soccer to have scored 500 senior goals for club and country.
Throughout his senior career at the club level, Ibrahimović has made 753 appearances while scoring 439 goals and adding 167 assists across his time with Malmö FF, Ajax, Juventus, FC Internazionale, FC Barcelona, AC Milan, Paris-Saint Germain, Manchester United, and the LA Galaxy. For Sweden, he has made 114 senior appearances and scored 62 goals. Overall, Ibrahimović has won 33 total trophies throughout his distinguished career.
