LOS ANGELES (Monday, Sept. 23, 2019) – The LA Galaxy (15-13-3, 48 points) are on the road and at home this weekend, as they enter the final stretch of the 2019 MLS Regular Season. Midweek, the LA Galaxy travel to face Real Salt Lake (14-12-5, 47 points) at 6:30 p.m. PT on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at Rio Tinto Stadium (Spectrum SportsNet). This weekend, the Galaxy return home to face Vancouver Whitecaps FC (7-15-10, 31 points) at 4:30 p.m. PT on Sunday, Sept. 29 at Dignity Health Sports Park (Spectrum SportsNet).
The Galaxy are 16-14-9 all-time against Real Salt Lake, going 4-7-7 against the Western Conference rival in Salt Lake City. The Galaxy defeated RSL in their first meeting of 2019, a 2-1 win at Dignity Health Sports Park. Uriel Antuna scored in that match before Zlatan Ibrahimović tallied one of his eight game-winners on the season.
Against Vancouver, the Galaxy are 8-2-1 all-time at home. The Galaxy won at Vancouver this year, with goals from Daniel Steres and Zlatan Ibrahimović – the Galaxy’s #9 also tallied a game-winner in that contest.
Over the weekend, the Galaxy earned a second straight home win, taking down Montreal Impact 2-1 in Los Angeles. Zlatan Ibrahimović scored his 27th of the season for the Galaxy, before Uriel Antuna scored the game-winner in the 50th minute. With three games remaining in the season, the Galaxy are currently 4th in the MLS Western Conference.
