(Monday, April 13, 2015) – The LA Galaxy will train this week ahead of an MLS Regular Season matchup Saturday, April 18 at StubHub Center against Sporting Kansas City at 7:30 p.m. PT (TV: Time Warner Cable SportsNet and Time Warner Cable Deportes; Radio: The Beast 980 AM, The Beast mobile app and ESPN Deportes 1330 AM). LA Galaxy II return home for a match against Austin Aztex Sunday, April 19 at 5 p.m. PT at StubHub Center’s Track & Field Stadium.

The Galaxy (2-2-2, 8 points) are 23-19-11 all-time against Sporting Kansas City (2-1-3, 9 points) scoring 81 goals in the 53 games played head to head. In their last meeting, the Galaxy fell to Sporting 2-1 on the road at Sporting Park last season behind goals from Benny Feilhaber and Lawrence Olum. Sunday marks the first of two times the Galaxy will face Kansas City during the MLS season.
The LA Galaxy will enter the match Sunday unbeaten in 24 consecutive games at StubHub Center, having only lost three of their last 46 home games. During the 24-game unbeaten streak at StubHub Center (including away matches against Chivas USA on April 6, 2014 & August 31, 2014), the Galaxy have outscored opponents 60 to 16 for a +44 goal differential.
The Galaxy defeated 2014 MLS Supporters’ Shield champion Seattle Sounders FC Sunday afternoon at StubHub Center as forward Alan Gordon scored the game-winner in his 200th career MLS Regular Season appearance.
On Sunday, LA Galaxy defender Omar Gonzalez and forward Gyasi Zardes were named to a 22-player roster by head coach Jurgen Klinsmann for the 64th edition of the USA-Mexico rivalry on Wednesday, April 15 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas. Kickoff is set for 5:30 p.m. PT and the game will be broadcast live on FOX Sports 1, UniMas and Univision Deportes Network.
