LOS ANGELES (Thursday, March 25, 2021) – The LA Galaxy announced today that in addition to the main front jersey logo, official sponsor Herbalife Nutrition will be featured on the club’s left jersey sleeve during the 2021 campaign as the club kicks off their 26th season in Major League Soccer on Sunday, April 18.
“We are excited to have our valued partner Herbalife Nutrition featured on our left jersey sleeve this season,” said LA Galaxy President Chris Klein. “As our partnership expands beyond the playing field and into serving the community around us, it is fitting that they will continue to be represented on jerseys worn by our team. We look forward to their representation on our jersey sleeve as we kick off our 26th season in MLS.”
Both LA Galaxy home and away kits will also feature the Herbalife Nutrition logo on the front of the jersey as well as the logo of the LA Galaxy’s new jersey sleeve partner Honey on the right sleeve. In 2020, Herbalife Nutrition was featured on the club’s jersey sleeve during the MLS is Back Tournament that took place in Orlando, Florida in July and during Major League Soccer’s return to play in local markets for the remainder of the 2020 season.
“We’re excited to continue to help the LA Galaxy reach peak performance on and off the field as we begin our 17th season as the club’s official nutrition partner,” said Ibi Montesino, managing director and senior vice president for Herbalife Nutrition, North America. “It’s a thrill for everyone associated with Herbalife Nutrition to see our logo prominently featured on the team’s jersey sleeve for each match and we look forward to another great season.”
Due to MLS guidelines, the Herbalife Nutrition patch on the left sleeve will not be available for retail and will be displayed only on kits used on-field by LA Galaxy players during official MLS play. LA Galaxy authentic jerseys available for retail at MLSstore.com will feature the MLS patch on the left jersey sleeve.
Throughout the year, fans will have the opportunity to get their hands on player-worn jerseys featuring both sleeve partners as they will be auctioned off to benefit the LA Galaxy Foundation. More details will be announced at a later date.
The LA Galaxy’s 2021 MLS Regular Season home opener is set for Sunday, April 25 at 2:30 p.m. PT at Dignity Health Sports Park against New York Red Bulls live on FS1. The club will return to MLS action on Sunday, April 18 against Inter Miami CF at Inter Miami CF Stadium at 12 p.m. PT live on ABC and ESPN Deportes.
