The LA Galaxy Foundation, Sebastian Lletget, LA Galaxy players and LA Galaxy supporter groups Angel City Brigade, LA Riot Squad and Galaxians will host the LA Galaxy Shared Plate Celebration on Saturday, Oct. 7 ahead of Fan Appreciation Night during LA Galaxy II’s match against Portland Timbers 2 at StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium. Shared Plates, an L.A. Kitchen initiative, is a city-wide weekend of dinner parties from Oct. 6-8, 2017 to rally Angelenos in the fight against hunger, food waste, and unemployment. Sebastina Lletget and other LA Galaxy players will be on hand for the celebration with games, a video game truck, photo booth and music complementing the event. All proceeds from the LA Galaxy Shared Plate Celebration will benefit L.A. Kitchen, a local nonprofit that believes that neither food nor people should ever go to waste. By reclaiming healthy, local food that would otherwise be discarded, training men and women who are unemployed for jobs, and providing healthy meals to fellow citizens, L.A. Kitchen empowers, nourishes and engages the community.
Meal tickets to the Shared Plate Celebration start at $10 for select LA Galaxy Season Ticket Members that already receive Galaxy II tickets and $15 to the general public, with dinners being donated by Tender Greens. $2 craft beer drink tickets supporting L.A. Kitchen will also be available, courtesy of Anheuser-Busch. The event will run from 4:30-6:30 p.m. PT. Gates to the StubHub Center Track & Field Stadium will open at 6:30 p.m. PT ahead of LA Galaxy II’s match against Portland Timbers 2 at 7:30 p.m. PT. Parking is free, while StubHub Center’s clear bag policy will be enforced.
Purchase of an LA Galaxy Shared Plate Celebration ticket will also include an LA Galaxy II match ticket. At 7:30 p.m. PT, LA Galaxy II will host Fan Appreciation Night during their 2017 home finale against Portland Timbers FC 2. As is custom at every Galaxy II home match, fans enjoy free parking, $2 tacos and $2 beer offering. And thanks to the Papa John’s Score II promotion, if LA Galaxy II score two goals all fans will go home with a free pizza voucher.
