LA Galaxy grants wish to 17-Year-Old Chance through Make-A-Wish

LOS ANGELES (Friday, April 8, 2022) – The LA Galaxy yesterday hosted Chance, a 17-year-old teenager from Granada Hills, at the LA Galaxy’s first team training session at Dignity Health Sports Park. Chance is bravely battling epilepsy and is receiving a once-in-a-lifetime surprise via Make-A-Wish.

Chance’s wish to attend an LA Galaxy training session was granted yesterday, as he had the opportunity to watch a Galaxy training session up close and meet all his favorite players and coaching staff.

On Saturday, April 9, Chance and his family will be special guests of the LA Galaxy at the club’s rivalry match against LAFC, even getting the opportunity to watch pregame warmups from field level.

Make-A-Wish grants the wishes of children with critical illnesses to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Founded in 1980 when a group of caring volunteers helped a young boy fulfill his dream of becoming a police officer, the organization is now the largest wish-granting charity in the world.

Founded in 1983, the Greater Los Angeles chapter of Make-A-Wish has granted over 10,000 wishes to children in Los Angeles County. The chapter grants over 250 wishes locally on an annual basis, and facilitates additional wishes for children from all over the world whose wish is to come to Los Angeles.
