LOS ANGELES (Monday, June 18, 2018) – The LA Galaxy (6-7-2, 20 points) enter a bye week in MLS play as the 2018 FIFA World Cup continues. The LA Galaxy are in action next at the end of the month when they travel to face the San Jose Earthquakes on Saturday, June 30 at Stanford Stadium (7 p.m. PT, UniMás).
On Saturday, the LA Galaxy will host a FIFA World Cup watch party as at the Art Theatre of Long Beach as Mexico faces South Korea (8 a.m. PT) and Germany takes on Sweden (11 a.m. PT). The watch party will also celebrate the launch of the Capsule Collection, an exclusive LA Galaxy clothing collaboration with Lifestyle Brand & Vintage sports Boutique Port of Long Beach Capsule.
The Galaxy were eliminated on Friday from the 2018 U.S. Open Cup when they fell 1-0 to the Portland Timbers on the road at Providence Park in the Fifth Round of the tournament. The Galaxy originally defeated FC Golden State Force at StubHub Center Track & Field in the Fourth Round of the tournament to advance.
