LOS ANGELES (Tuesday, May 22, 2018) – The LA Galaxy will host Support Local Soccer Night this Friday, May 25 at 8 p.m. PT when the club takes on the San Jose Earthquakes in the first California Clásico of the season.
The match, presented by Denny’s, will feature a free Support Local Soccer Scarf given to the first 15,000 fans in attendance. Tickets to the match remain on www.lagalaxy.com/tickets.
12-year-old Duke Carpentier, a resident of Huntington Beach and an AYSO U-13 player, will sing the game’s national anthem on Friday evening. Carpentier, a midfielder, has spent four years playing local soccer.
Additionally, the 2018 LA Galaxy Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC) Unified Team, composed of 20 athletes from the Los Angeles area, will make their 2018 debut Friday when they face the LA Galaxy Academy following the MLS contest. All fans are encouraged to remain in their seats following the MLS match Friday to watch the LA Galaxy SOSC Unified Team make their 2018 debut. The LA Galaxy SOSC Unified Soccer Team Exchange program is a partnership between the LA Galaxy and Special Olympics Southern California that brings individuals with and without intellectual disabilities together as teammates, ages 16-25, to participate in unique training, competition and social experiences.

In their most recent match, LA earned a 1-0 win on the road over the Montreal Impact as forward Ola Kamara scored in his fourth-straight game for the Galaxy. Kamara now has five goals on the season and 39 in his MLS career.
