LOS ANGELES (Friday, Aug. 16, 2019) – LA Galaxy II have signed Tanzanian defender Abdalla Haji Shaibu on a season-long loan from MFK Vyskov (Czech Republic). Shaibu, 20, is immediately available for LA Galaxy II with the completed reception of his ITC and P1 visa.
“We are pleased to add Abdalla to our roster as we head into the final stretch of the season,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese. “Abdalla is a young defender with a promising profile that we will look to develop in our organization.”
Shaibu was recently in action for Young Africans S.C., a professional team in the Tanzanian Premier League.
LA Galaxy II and Shaibu are next in action when they face New Mexico United at 6:30 p.m. PT on Saturday, Aug. 17 at Isotopes Park in Albuquerque.
