CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, March 1, 2016) – With a 4-0-0 preseason record, the LA Galaxy II is now less than a month away from its opening match of the 2016 USL Regular Season.
Last Friday, Los Dos extended its preseason win streak with a 3-0 rout of Loyola Marymount University at StubHub Center. A first half hat-trick from Ariel Lassiter, the team’s leading scorer in 2015, gave Galaxy II the easy win. Lassiter scored at the 1’, 24’ and 36’ minutes.
This weekend, the team will face perhaps its toughest preseason opponent of the year so far, UCLA, at StubHub Center Field 6 on Saturday. UCLA tied the Orange County Blues 1-1 in a friendly on Sunday.
In other news, LA Galaxy II announced the signing of Colombian midfielder Bryam Rebellon last Tuesday. Rebellon spent his career playing in both Colombian and Argentinian leagues, beginning his professional career with Soacha (Colombia) in 2009. Rebellon most recently featured for Llaneros F.C. in Colombia before his move to Los Angeles, playing for the Categoria Primera B side since 2014. Rebellon has started each of the team’s four preseason exhibitions ahead of Galaxy II’s 2016 USL Regular Season.
Last week, LA Galaxy II single-game tickets went on sale to the public. Los Dos tickets to each of the team’s 2016 home matches can be purchased for just $10. Home matches at StubHub Center feature free parking for attending fans on non-StubHub Center event days.
