Oklahoma City, Okla. (Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014) – LA Galaxy II (13-7-4, 43 points) defeated Oklahoma City Energy FC, 1-0 on the road at Pribil Stadium Saturday night as a first-half goal from Daniel Steres and a shutout from Brian Perk propelled Los Dos to the victory.
The game’s only goal came in the 19th minute when Galaxy II defender Steres headed home an Andre Auras corner kick past Energy goalkeeper Samir Badr to give Los Dos a 1-0 lead going into the halftime break.
In second half action, the Galaxy II defense and goalkeeper Brian Perk stood firm to hold Energy FC scoreless, despite going down a man in the final minutes of the match. Bradley Diallo picked up two yellow cards in the second half as Los Dos closed out the game with 10 men.
The win is the second-straight for Los Dos and makes Galaxy II 4-0 against Oklahoma City Energy FC in USL PRO action this year.
