CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, April 1, 2014) – LA Galaxy II defender Oscar Sorto was named to the USL PRO Team of the Week for Week 2 of the 2014 USL PRO season after a solid performance at full back in his side’s 1-1 draw with Sacramento Republic FC.
Additionally, Galaxy II forward Chandler Hoffman and midfielder Raul Mendiola were named as honorable mentions after their strong performance in Saturday’s draw. Galaxy first team loanee Hoffman equalized for the home side in the 81st minute after Galaxy Homegrown Player Mendiola set up the play to give the Galaxy their fourth point of the 2014 USL PRO regular season campaign.
The LA Galaxy II return to action next week when they host Oklahoma City Energy FC on Monday, April 7 at the StubHub Center Track and Field Stadium at 7:30 p.m. PT.
