CARSON, Calif. (Monday, Oct. 20, 2014) – LA Galaxy II faced Arizona United on Saturday evening in the Colorado Pro Soccer Kickoff at Sand Creek Stadium in Colorado Springs, Colo. The match was hosted by 2015 USL PRO expansion side Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC.
The lone goal came in the 10th minute of play, as Arizona striker Sam Garza slotted past Los Dos goalkeeper Nicholas Shackelford. Shackelford and the Galaxy II defense held Arizona scoreless for the remaining 80 minutes of the match, but Los Dos were unable to find an equalizing goal.
LA Galaxy II featured LA Galaxy Homegrown Players Oscar Sorto, Raul Mendiola and Jack McBean in the starting lineup in addition to 2014 USL PRO All-Team players Andre Auras and Daniel Steres.
Los Dos and Arizona United both completed their inaugural season in USL PRO during the 2014 season, with Switchbacks FC set to join the league for the upcoming 2015 season.
