CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, June 3, 2014) – LA Galaxy II forward Chandler Hoffman was named to the USL PRO Team of the Week for Week 11 of the 2014 USL PRO season.
One of USL PRO’s leading scorers, Hoffman scored his eighth goal of the season, tallying the game-winner in the second half of Los Dos’ 1-0 win against the Seattle Sounders FC Reserves on Sunday afternoon at Starfire Stadium.
Galaxy II netted the winner in the 76th minute when Aleksandar Djokovic’s cross found Hoffman at the far post and who then slotted it past Hahnemann for the game's lone goal.
Additionally, Galaxy II defender Daniel Steres and midfielder Andre Auras were named as honorable mentions after their strong performance in Sunday’s road win.
LA Galaxy II will return home as they play host to the Dayton Dutch Lions on Sunday, June 8 at 8:00 p.m. PT at StubHub Center’s main soccer stadium as part of a double header with the LA Galaxy who will take on Chivas USA in the SuperClasico at 5:00 p.m. PT.
