CARSON, Calif. (Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014) – LA Galaxy II forward Jack McBean was named USL PRO Player of the Week for the final week of the regular season. McBean scored both goals in the 2-1 road victory over Sacramento Republic FC Saturday that moved Galaxy II into the No. 3 seed in the USL PRO Playoffs.
McBean gave Galaxy II the lead against Sacramento when he finished a cross from Dragan Stojkov in the first half with a low, one-touch shot past Republic FC’s goalkeeper. McBean then scored the game-winner in the second half, his fifth goal of the season, when he followed up the rebound on a shot from Charlie Rugg and buried the goal, handing Sacramento just their second home loss of the season.
Brian Perk and Charlie Rugg were named Honorable Mentions in the USL PRO Team of the Week for their performances against Sacramento. Perk preserved the victory with a heroic save in the dying minutes of the match while Rugg helped lead the Los Dos to a strong offensive attack on the night.

USL PRO is the strongest U.S. men’s professional soccer league on and off the field below and in support of Major League Soccer (MLS).
