CARSON, Calif. (Tuesday, July 29, 2014) – LA Galaxy II midfielder Andre Auras was named to the USL PRO Team of the Week for Week 19 of the 2014 USL PRO season.
Auras earned the selection for his performance in a 4-0 victory over Orange County Blues FC at Pribil Stadium Saturday evening, where he opened the scoring with a long distance blast in the fourth minute. Auras dispossessed a Blues FC player near midfield before firing a shot from 30 yards out that flew into the net.
The former French youth international continued to dictate the midfield for the rest of the game as Los Dos went on to score three more goals.
Additionally, Galaxy II forward Chandler Hoffman and goalkeeper Brian Rowe were named as honorable mentions after their strong performance in Saturday’s action. Hoffman netted a first-half brace while Rowe kept a clean sheet for the visiting side.
LA Galaxy II (11-5-4, 37 points) return to action as they travel to face the Harrisburg City Islanders (5-8-6, 21 points) Wednesday, July 30 in Week 20 of USL PRO action at UC the Skyline Sports Complex, with kickoff set for 4 p.m. PT.
