LA Galaxy II midfielder Kai Koreniuk has been voted the USL Championship Player of the Week for Week 5 of the 2019 season after a strong performance against Tulsa Roughnecks FC on Saturday, April 6.
Koreniuk led Los Dos to its second consecutive victory with two goals in the span of four minutes early in the second half and added an assist on Galaxy II’s final goal of the night as the side moved up to fifth place in the Western Conference standings.
Koreniuk received 42 percent of the poll conducted by a national panel of independent media representing every USL Championship market.
Next up, Los Dos hit the road to Toyota Field to face off against San Antonio FC on Saturday, April 13 at 5:30 p.m. PT. The game will be broadcasted live on ESPN+.
