EL PASO, Texas (Saturday, May 7, 2022) – LA Galaxy II’s three-match unbeaten run came to an end with a 4-0 loss on the road to El Paso Locomotive FC on Saturday night.
Goal-Scoring Plays
ELP – Eric Calvillo (Josue Gomez), 16th minute: Locomotive FC took the lead after a cross from the right by Christiano Francois found Josue Gomez at the back post. Gomez turned it back centrally where Eric Calvillo tucked home from close range.
ELP – Own Goal (Liam Doyle), 32nd minute: El Paso doubled its lead when LA defender Liam Doyle played a backpass that snuck just inside the near post.
ELP – Diego Luna (Josue Gomez), 39th minute: El Paso won possession in the attacking half and after moving into the penalty area the attacker paused and found the advancing run of Luna, who shot low into the right corner.
ELP – Luis Solignac (Diego Luna), 63rd minute: Locomotive FC found the net in the 63rd minute when a deflected shot by Dylan Mares spun in the path of Diego Luna, who controlled and sent the ball into the six-yard area where Solignac tucked home.
