CARSON, Calif. (Monday, Aug. 16, 2016) – LA Galaxy II (9-4-9, 36 points) are back in Southern California for the second game of the team's five-game road stretch after earning a point on a 0-0 draw with OKC Energy FC in Oklahoma City, Okla. over the weekend.
It will be the second meeting in one month for the rivals; Los Dos dropped a 2-0 result to Blues FC at Anteater Stadium on July 30. Prior to that, LA had seen Orange County twice on the year, winning once and drawing once. OC Blues forward Trevin Caesar scored both goals in Los Dos’ defeat on July 30; he’s scored three total goals against LA this year.
In LA’s draw with OKC over the weekend, Clement Diop put on his best performance of the season making severalgame-savingsaves to help Galaxy snap a two-game losing streak.
With the draw, LA Galaxy II slipped to fourth in the USL Western Conference table, behind Vancouver Whitecaps FC (10-6-7, 37 points), Sacramento Republic FC (10-6-7, 37 points) and Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC (10-6-7, 37 points). Los Dos has a game in hand on each of those teams.
