CARSON, Calif. (Monday, April 11, 2016) – This week, LA Galaxy II gets set for their fifth game in less than three weeks’ time ahead of a midweek matchup with USL expansion club San Antonio FC Wednesday, April 13 at StubHub Center. Kickoff for the two teams’ first-ever meeting is set for 7.30 p.m. PT.
After Wednesday’s fixture, the home side will have a much needed nine-day break before their next match on April 22.
Last Friday, LA Galaxy II drew 1-1 against Southern California rival Orange County Blues FC behind a goal from forward Jose Villarreal. Villarreal’s goal is worth checking out; the move that preceded the shot put an Orange County defenseman on spin cycle.
With their 2-0-2 record, Galaxy II remain on top of the Western Conference table. Los Dos’ +5 goal differential is the best in the Western Conference and second best in MLS. They are one of seven unbeaten teams in the Western Conference. One of those teams is San Antonio, who drew 1-1 with Swope Park Rangers on Saturday after opening the season with a 3-0 win at Seattle Sounders FC 2 on April 3.
