The LA Galaxy will face Portland Timbers FC at Providence Park this Sunday, Aug. 6 at 11 a.m. PT live on ESPN and ESPN Deportes. The match was previously scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. PT but has been moved to an earlier kick time due to forecasted high temperatures on Sunday.
LA has had success on the road this year, leading MLS with five road wins. In Portland, they’ve gone unbeaten in their last three visits. Last time in PDX, LA won 2-1 behind goals from Robbie Keane and Gyasi Zardes. This match is a chance for LA to gain ground on Portland and the rest of the Western Conference: the Galaxy sit 9th in the standings, seven points off a playoff spot and eight points off 4th-place Timbers FC.
Following the match vs. Portland on Sunday, the Galaxy will return to StubHub Center for a match against New York City FC on Saturday, Aug. 12.
