LA Galaxy midfielder Riqui Puig has been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday presented by Audi for Matchday 22. In his return from injury, Puig hit the crossbar, completed 37 of 42 passes (88.1%), won three of five duels and was fouled twice in 35 minutes of action against San Jose.
Additionally, LA Galaxy goalkeeper John McCarthy, defender Miki Yamane, and forward Gabriel Pec have each been named to the MLS Team of the Matchday Bench for Matchday 22. Pec notched an assist, completed 46 of 47 passes (97.9%) and completed three dribbles against San Jose. Yamane registered his fourth assist of the season, while McCarthy recorded six saves and posted his third consecutive shutout in the victory over the Earthquakes.
