LOS ANGELES (Monday, Sept. 18, 2017) – LA Galaxy (7-15-6, 27 points) begin the first of a three-game road stretch in Atlanta, facing Atlanta United FC (12-8-7, 43 points) at 4 p.m. PT on Wednesday, Sept. 20 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium (ESPN, ESPN Deportes). They’ll then travel to Kansas City to face Sporting Kansas City (11-6-11, 44 points) at 11 a.m. PT on Saturday, Sept, 24 at Children’s Mercy Park (FOX, FOX Deportes).
2017 MLS Regular Season: LA Galaxy vs. Atlanta United FC
The Galaxy is set to make a first impression in their first-ever meeting with Atlanta United FC in the midweek, trying to become the first MLS side to get a win at the all-new Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
The Galaxy are 5-6-2 on the road this season and 2-4-3 against Eastern Conference sides. Atlanta are 2-0-1 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, and 8-2-2 in front of homes crowds this season.
2017 MLS Regular Season: LA Galaxy vs. Sporting Kansas City
LA follows up the Atlanta trip with a Sunday showdown in the midlands, returning to Kansas City for the first time since last September. Then, Landon Donovan and Alan Gordon scored goals to boost the Galaxy to a 2-2 draw.
The Galaxy lost its only meeting with SKC earlier this season, a 1-2 loss on June 24 at StubHub Center. All-time the Galaxy are 24-21-14 against SKC and 8-15-7 against them in Kansas City.
