LOS ANGELES (Monday, July 15, 2019) – The LA Galaxy (11-8-1, 34 points) are again at home this week, facing LAFC (14-2-4, 46 points) at 7 p.m. PT on Friday, July 19th at Dignity Health Sports Park (ESPN).
The LA Galaxy are unbeaten in three matches against LAFC, with a record of 1-0-2. The Galaxy have yet to face LAFC this season, but played them three times last season, LAFC’s first in MLS. Galaxy won the first match 403 while the other matches both ended in draws, 2-2 and 1-1, respectively. Team captain Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored three goals in those three games against LAFC, including a late game-winner in March 2018 to secure a brace and the win. This year, the Galaxy are 7-4-0 at home.
The Galaxy fell 3-1 against the San Jose Earthquakes last Friday, with defender Rolf Feltscher scoring the lone Galaxy goal. The Galaxy are now in third place in the Western Conference on 34 points on the year.
