LA Galaxy prepare for season's longest road trip | Weekly Schedule

The LA Galaxy will begin a four-game away stretch on Sunday, May 14 against New York Red Bulls. The match kicks off at 3:00 p.m. PT and will be broadcast live on Fox Sports 1. LA Galaxy II and New York Red Bulls II will then square off at 6:00 p.m. PT via livestream at LAGalaxy.com/2, immediately following the first-team matchup at Red Bull Arena.

All time, the Galaxy are 16-18-8 against the Red Bulls, going 7-12-3 in road contests. In the Galaxy’s previous five trips to New York, they’re 2-2-1. The last time the two sides met, they played to a 2-2 draw at StubHub Center on Aug. 7, 2016. In the match, Ashley Cole netted the equalizer and his first Galaxy goal as the Galaxy rallied from a two-goal deficit starting with a Mike Magee goal in the 80^th minute.

Over the weekend, the Galaxy played to a 2-2 draw with Chicago Fire, erasing a 2-0 halftime deficit for the team’s second straight home draw. The team now sets out on its biggest road stretch of the year, facing New York Red Bulls, Minnesota United FC (Sunday, May 21), San Jose Earthquakes (Saturday, May 27) and D.C. United (Saturday, June 3) before returning to StubHub Center on June 17 to face Houston Dynamo.
