LA Galaxy return to MLS Regular Season action with two-game week | Weekly Schedule

LOS ANGELES (Monday, July 17, 2017) –
LA Galaxy return to MLS Regular Season play for the first time since July 4 this week, taking on Vancouver Whitecaps FC midweek on Wednesday, July 19 in Los Angeles (7:30 p.m. PT, Spectrum SportsNet, Spectrum Deportes) before heading to the east coast to face the New England Revolution on Saturday, July 22 at Gilette Stadium (5:30 p.m. PT, Spectrum SportsNet, Spectrum Deportes).
2017 MLS Regular Season: LA Galaxy vs. Vancouver Whitecaps FC
LA will be looking to avenge a 4-2 loss suffered to the Whitecaps earlier this season at BC Place, when Vancouver makes its first trip to Southern California of the season. The Galaxy are 9-4-4 all-time, with a dominant 7-1-1 record at StubHub Center. In their meeting on April 7, Romain Alessandrini scored his first goals for LA Galaxy, recording a brace before the halftime whistle.
The Galaxy went 1-0-1 against Whitecaps FC at StubHub Center in 2016, earning a 2-0 win against them on July 4 and playing to a 0-0 draw on Aug. 27.
2017 MLS Regular Season: New England Revolution vs. LA Galaxy
The Galaxy are 18-15-7 all-time against the Revolution and will be making their first trip to Foxboro since 2015, when the two sides finished in a 2-2 draw at Gilette Stadium on May 31, 2015 behind goals from Gyasi Zardes and Nacho Maganto.
LA took down New England last season at StubHub Center in a 4-2 win, one of the Galaxy’s most dominant performances of the season. Robbie Keane tallied a brace, while Giovani dos Santos and Steven Gerrard rounded out the box score. Gyasi Zardes recorded two assists in the contest.
