20 for Twenty

LA Galaxy’s 20 for Twenty continued at Los Angeles Regional Food Bank

LA Galaxy’s 20 for Twenty continued with the LA Galaxy Volunteer Day at Los Angeles Regional Food Bank that saw the entire organization – LA Galaxy, LA Galaxy II, LA Galaxy Academy and staff – volunteer alongside LA Galaxy fans to help distribute food on Nov. 5th.

LA Galaxy staff and players helped fight hunger while preparing meals for families, seniors, and individuals in need in the Los Angeles County. While there, the group sorted and prepared food items for packaging for families in preparation for the holidays. LA Galaxy President Chris Klein, LA Galaxy 2015 Humanitarian of the Year Todd Dunivant and midfielder Rafael Garcia, in addition to LA Galaxy II players, members of the LA Galaxy Academy and members of the LA Galaxy supporters groups, LA Riot Squad and Angel City Brigade were all in attendance.
The LA Galaxy Foundation also hosted a successful weeklong food drive at StubHub Center in October, collecting over 1,150 lbs. of food, with help from LA Galaxy front office staff, players, fans, LA Galaxy South Bay and Timbers Army.
Collecting and distributing food in the community since 1973, The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank has been feeding L.A. for more than 40 years. With nearly 30,000 people volunteering at the Food Bank each year, over one billions pounds of food have been distributed. Also with the help of 700 agencies partnering with the Food Bank, they have been able to serve 1 million people each year. The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank’s mission is to mobilize resources to fight hunger in the LA community.
