LOS ANGELES (Friday, Feb. 23, 2024) – The LA Galaxy today announced that the club has signed forward Aaron Bibout to a two-year deal through the 2025 MLS season with two club option years through 2027. Bibout will occupy an international roster slot.
“Aaron is a promising young striker who came to the Galaxy via our partnership with the Kadji Sports Academy in Douala, Cameroon after making a positive impact with LA Galaxy II last season,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Will Kuntz. “We look forward to Aaron’s continued progression with the group.”
In 27 matches played (27 starts) for LA Galaxy II during the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Regular Season, Bibout recorded 19 goal contributions (14 goals, 5 assists), ranking tied for seventh in the league with 14 goals scored. Bibout, a product of the Kadji Sports Academy, was named the MLS NEXT Pro Player of Matchday 4 after tallying a hat-trick and the game-winning goal in Galaxy II’s 4-3 win on the road over Whitecaps FC 2 on April 16, 2023.
