LOS ANGELES (Wednesday, June 21, 2023) – The LA Galaxy today announced the short-term loan of forward Aaron Bibout, 18, from MLS NEXT Pro affiliate LA Galaxy II to the LA Galaxy first team.
In 13 games played (13 starts) for Los Dos during the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro Regular Season, the Yaoundé, Cameroon, native ranks tied for second in the league with eight goals scored and has added two assists. Bibout, a product of the Kadji Sports Academy, was named the MLS NEXT Pro Player of Matchday 4 after tallying a hat-trick and the game-winning goal in Galaxy II’s 4-3 win on the road over Whitecaps FC 2 on April 16. Bibout will occupy the international roster slot created by Javier “Chicharito” Hernández’s placement on the Season Ending Injury List.
