LOS ANGELES (Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024) – The LA Galaxy today announced that the club has signed forward Miguel Berry to a two-year contract through the end of the 2025 MLS season with a club option for 2026. The Galaxy originally acquired the player rights to Berry from Atlanta United in exchange for LA’s natural second round pick in the 2024 MLS SuperDraft on Dec. 19, 2023.
Berry, 26, has recorded 11 goals and three assists in 75 career regular-season matches played (40 starts) across four MLS seasons with the Columbus Crew (2021-22), D.C. United (2022) and Atlanta United (2023). The forward logged one goal and one assist in 27 appearances (10 starts) for Atlanta during the 2023 MLS Regular Season. In his rookie season with Columbus, Berry logged eight goals and two assists in 18 matches played (9 starts) during the 2021 campaign.
After being traded to D.C. United from Columbus midway through the 2022 MLS Regular Season, the Barcelona, Spain, native made 14 appearances (8 starts) for the Black-and-Red. Berry was selected with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2020 MLS SuperDraft by the Columbus Crew after recording 38 goals and 16 assists in 72 appearances (69 starts) for the University of San Diego (2016-19).
