The LA Galaxy have signed goalkeeper Brian Sylvestre, the club announced today. The Galaxy sign Sylvestre from North Carolina FC, where he tallied 48 appearances in the last two seasons.
“Brian has a lot of potential and is a good addition to our depth,” said LA Galaxy Head Coach Sigi Schmid. “He has a big frame and we look forward to his development in our organization.”
Sylvestre, 25, was signed to North Carolina FC, formerly Carolina RailHawks, in February 2015. Prior to that, he was a member of USL’s Harrisburg City Islanders where he made his professional debut on June 17, 2014. In 2015 with North Carolina FC, he was loaned up to Philadelphia Union, where he recorded 5 shutouts in 12 games with the club.

Sylvestre inked his first professional contract in 2011, when he signed with Vancouver Whitecaps FC. He has represented the United States at the U-17 and U-20 levels. The native of Hollywood, Florida, is a product of the Whitecaps FC Residency, having joined the full-time program back on Feb. 12, 2010.
