“Kévin is a young and dynamic player who will give us versatility in the attack,” said LA Galaxy General Manager Dennis te Kloese. “He is an emerging talent and has shown to be a bright prospect in France. At 21 years of age, he will continue to grow and develop as a player within our club. We are excited that such a young talent has chosen the Galaxy as the next destination in his career. We look forward to welcoming him to Los Angeles and for his contributions as a member of our organization.”

The LA Galaxy traded $250,000 in General Allocation Money, a 2022 MLS SuperDraft first-round selection plus future performance based incentives to FC Cincinnati in exchange for the discovery priority for Cabral.

Born in Paris, Cabral originally was a part of the Paris Saint-German youth system before signing with Valenciennes FC permanently in 2017. In all, Cabral’s 70 appearances for Valenciennes FC span across Ligue 2, Coupe de France and Coupe de la Ligue competition, where he became a key part of the club’s attack with 13 goals and 10 assists. He played three total seasons of Ligue 2 since his debut, scoring 10 goals and adding seven assists during that span, while adding an additional three goals in separate competitions.
